An inked deal is as good as gold especially when you’re Mac Miller!
The “Donald Trump” rapper has signed a deal with Warner Brothers surprisingly worth a whopping $10 Million.
Fader confirms, Miller, 22, has been unconnected with a major label since early 2014 when he announced he was leaving Rostrum Records.
“Rostrum is my family,” he tells MTV News as he parts ways with the label.”That is forever, I am grateful for everything I learned and am always here for whatever.”
Since then he’s been focusing solely on self released tape and developing artist with his own independent label, Remember Music. The deal allows him to still work on his music as well as sign other artist to his label, develop, and produce for them.
“Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with,” Miller told The FADER in an email. “It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things.” He added: “They have Prince.”
Although Miller didn’t release a full-length record this year he still was able to keep his fans entertained with his mixtape Faces produced by SAP.
