Music is one of the most greatest forms of communication! Even if people don’t understand the language that you’re singing it in, they still know good music when they hear it.
This week on The Social B. Show I had the pleasure of interviewing trio singing sensation DMK. Not only did we enjoy sharing a few laughs while playing “Secrets of the Hive,” the group also took the time out to tell us about how a friendship that started 11-years-ago landed them their first recording contract.
Check out the full interview, and be sure to tell us what you think!
If you have a goal, and want to achieve it then work hard and one day it will come true. I know it sounds cliche’, but when you follow your dreams, it happens! Damoli, Melanee, and Kourtney are DMK, the newest up and coming vocal group from Detroit.
The trio of ladies have recently charmed their way into the offices of some the industries hottest record companies and social media moguls like Interscope Records, Columbia Records, and even Snap Chat.
“Dream Big, Live Bigger,” says DMK.
Their mission is to make music, but not just any music, real music! The longtime friends developed the group when they were just kids. Now ten year later, they’re all grown up and working to showcase their talents to the world.
Back in 2012, the group performed nationally on BET’s 106 & Park show. The ladies competed in the Coca-Cola Female R&B/ Pop All-star Wild Out Wednesday competition where they formally introduced themselves. Since then there’s been no stopping these three talented ladies.
The group prides itself on positivity and growth, dedicating themselves individually to delivering good music that everyone will love. With the idea of being three totally different people able to make it work together, success was only an arm’s reach away. Since traveling, the girls have been in the studio perfecting their talents while creating quality hits that they plan to release.
Good things come to people who wait, but better things come to those who go out and get them.
