Anybody Wanna Buy A Butt?

K. Michelle is constantly going against the grain, and her latest decision to return her famous butt to its normal size is no exception.

K. Michelle has said no to all interviews and press until the completion of her third album, but granted B. Scott an exclusive interview. According to VH1, during the interview, K. Michelle said “I think the older you get, you get tired of having to hop into your jeans!” Ultimately her reasoning for the downsize is because she wants to be taken seriously and being known for having a huge butt isnt getting her that respect.

Dont be confused with wanting respect and being ashamed. K. Michelle has gone on record defending her surgeries. She has been very upfront about her surgeries, even having fat removed on her VH1 reality show My Life. K. Michelle sat down with HuffPost Live and had this to say:

I got my boobs done, I had fat transferred to my butt, I sucked out the stomach. You know, just normal women things…And they say, ‘Are you really going to do this surgery [on camera]?’ I said, ‘Yes, because it’s my life.’ And I’m not ashamed. I’m not ashamed of wanting to suck the rolls out of my stomach.

She has been so forthcoming more for her young fans because she “[doesnt] want little girls to feel like I really did wake up like this.”

We’ll end with some words of wisdom from the R&B vocal powerhouse:

You don’t have to do anything to be popular. You need to do what makes you happy. Don’t look at me as the poster child of ‘I need to change my appearance’ or whatever,’… ‘For a long time I didn’t change my appearance. And now it’s something that I wanted to do. I woke up in the morning and wanted a little whatever, but you’re beautiful however you are.

Good for you, K. Good for you.

Is Basketball Wives Not Enough?!

Apparently not. Basketball Wives has pretty much had a monopoly on the women in the lives of athletes market since its debut on VH1 in 2010 and became even more of a staple when a Los Angeles based spinoff, Basketball Wives LA, debuted in 2011. Well the E! Network is trying to step out of the Kardashian only business and venture into other reality shows, hence the creation of their new show WAGS. WAGS stands for wives and girlfriends of sports stars.

According to E! Online, WAGS is about:

“The world of professional sports can be glamorous and full of perks, but these women behind the men know the truth…there are rules to being a WAG. From knowing how to support your man to how to learning the hierarchy of the WAG world and the drama that comes with it, these girls are the experts of maneuvering, manipulating and always making sure to look damn good while doing it.”

The show stars seven women who identify as either a wife, partner, or fiancé to an athlete: Autumn Ajirotutu, wife of the Philadelphia EaglesSeyi Ajirotutu; Barbie Blank, fiancée of former Anaheim Ducks player Sheldon Souray; Nicole Williams, four-year girlfriend of Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ offensive lineback Larry English; Natalie Halcro, who dates NFL player Shaun Phillips, and her cousin/BFF/business partner Olivia Pierson, who’s been linked to players from the Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Clippers; Sasha Gates, wife of San Diego Chargers’ Antonio Gates; and Ashley North fiancé of the Washington RedskinsDashon Goldson.

This show–unlike its predecessor–highlights not only the women in professional basketball player’s lives, but the women in the lives of all professional athletes. And boy will there be drama! PEOPLE got a supertease of the show and in that tease Sasha Gates said, “When people look at us they see the glitz and the glam, but there’s a lot of things that come with being in this type of relationship … However, you’re walking in there, it’s a representation of your man, too, and I gotta represent him the best I can.”

Ashely North said this of the WAGS world “You know that you’re not always [your partner’s] No. 1 priority, and you have to be comfortable with that.”

Basketball Wives and other shows with the same theme as WAGS has made it clear that girlfriends and wives of athletes aren’t thought of as being on the same level, Gates had this to say, “Know your place in the hierarchy. There are rules.” Uh oh. The claws are out! Will you be watching?

Watch WAGS on E! Network starting August 18th! Check your local listings for specific air times!

Depending on your cable carrier, you may be able to watch the first episode NOW via E! Online!

Love & Hip Hop: Homophobia?

Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, stylized as LHHH, returns to VH1 on September 7th. When the show returns, the cast will include fan favorites, new faces, a Love & Hip Hop: NY veteran, and a cast member that is already making headlines. For the first time in LHH history, the show will feature an intimate relationship between two men. One of the men in that relationship (pictured below) is openly gay rapper/producer/model Milan Christopher.

The plot between Milan and Miles aka Sir Brock is said to be based around the fact that Milan wants his boyfriend, Miles, to proudly embrace his homosexuality and start a family. Miles is also in the music industry, but struggles with his homosexuality and his relationship with Milan due to his Christian faith and his fear of the consequences of being openly gay in the music industry.

The real story here is that Milan feels that he is being ostracized by the rest of his cast mates due to his sexuality. TMZ broke the story on August 11th that he “believes he’s being shunned by cast members because they don’t want to share the small screen with an openly gay rapper.” According to TMZ, Milan has been filming for around 3 weeks but his cast mates Ray J, Soulja BoyOmarion and Mally Mall are shunning him. TMZ reports that “a number of the rappers are upset with producers for hiring Milan … not because he’s gay but because he has no cred in the rap game. They believe producers hired Milan as a ‘sideshow’ and a ‘circus’ to goose ratings.” TMZ also reports that a number of rappers on the show have already told producers that they wont film scenes with Milan which includes any parties or events where he is in attendance.

Are Milan’s fellow cast mates homophobic? Is this entire story a ploy to get people interested in the new season? Is Milan playing the “gay card”? Sound off in the comments!

Catch Ray J and Princess, Teairra Mari, Omarion and Apryl, Fizz, Miss Nikki Baby, Soulja Boy and Nia Riley, Moniece Slaughter and her new boyfriend (?) LHHNY veteran Rich Dollaz, and Hazel-E this September on VH1!

‘LHHNY’ Erica Mena Is Leaving The Show For A Spin Off With Bow Wow

Love and Hip Hop’s feisty Latina model, Erica Mena, known for the famous line, “you can’t handle my mouth, mutha@*$%!” has confirmed that season 5 will be her last of the show, but this won’t be the last time we see her on our television screens.

This past year Erica’s life has changed in many ways from her living a fireball life with former girlfriend Cyn Santana to becoming happily engaged to Shad Moss, formerly known as Bow Wow.

Now although Mena is leaving the show with her new hubby to be this of course won’t be the last time we see her on TV. In a recent interview with New York City’s WPIX 11, she teased the possibility of her and Bow Wow potentially having a show of their own.

“I think America definitely loves Erica enough that that is definitely possible,” she says.

Let’s just be honest we all know that Ms. Erica Mena is not just going stop collecting her coins with the show unless she has another gig lined up so a show all about her would definitely be a sight to see. Plus the camera loves Erica and her beautiful brown curls!

Although fans won’t get a chance to see Bow Wow on the show, we will still get to see the announcement of her engagement to her fellow cast members. Of course, Love and Hip Hop just wouldn’t be the same without the drama so fans will also get to see the breakup between Erica and former girlfriend, Cyn Santana.

Now that she’s found “a man in my corner who has accepted me,” Erica says she and Bow are planning for a Spring wedding and sources believe that their nuptials will be televised on VH1.

My only hope is that their show is actually entertaining. America does love them, but many shows focused on couples marriages either don’t last long because of viewer disinterest or the actual marriage fails. So we will see and hope for the best!

What do you think about Erica’s decision to leaving the show? Do you think that Erica Mena and Shad Moss can maintain a show of their own?
